This is the Mission ONE purpose statement:

Mission ONE trains and mobilizes the Church, focusing on cross-cultural partnerships 
to engage the unreached and serve the poor and oppressed.

M1®logo-4c.horizFounded in 1991 by Bob Schindler, Mission ONE facilitates partnerships with outstanding indigenous Christian leaders in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East whose respective ministry teams are sharing the love of Jesus in word and deed among the poor, the oppressed and unreached peoples. Mission ONE’s cross-cultural partnerships are based on a model that integrates godly character, cultural intelligence, and organizational competence.

After working in the field of graphic design and communications for several years, Werner Mischke joined Mission ONE in 1992. He wanted to work with Bob Schindler, Mission ONE’s Founder & President. Bob continues to lead the ministry today. Werner’s role is as Executive Vice President and Director of Training Ministries.

AND OTHER MISSION SERVICES

1) Mission ONE facilitates healthy cross-cultural partnerships with indigenous Christian ministries.

  • Mission ONE has deep, long-standing, trusting relationships with proven-effective indigenous Christian leaders and their teams in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
  • Mission ONE-supported ministry teams are 
doing evangelism and church planting among Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and tribal peopleswith high levels of cost-effectiveness.
  • Mission ONE mobilizes resources through support partners in the United States to invest in these indigenous ministries; these support partners are local churches, individuals, Christian businesses, or foundations. Funds are used for regular periodic support as well as project support for leadership training, economic empowerment, community transformation, relief for the poor and needy.
  • Mission ONE transfers funds securely to its indigenous partner ministries and also provides accountability for its cross-cultural partnerships through a quarterly-based, report-and-support system. Investor-partners in the United States receive quarterly reports from the indigenous ministries they support through Mission ONE.
  • Mission ONE staff conducts on-site visits to its ministry partners in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East and maintains a relationship with the key leaders of the various indigenous ministries.

2) Mission ONE provides training for individuals, churches, and small groups who want to learn how to be effective advocates for healthy cross-cultural partnerships.

  • The Beauty of Partnership is a Christ-centered, six-week missional learning journey to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes (KSAs) to be effective advocates for healthy cross-cultural partnerships. The learning journey has four sets of lessons in three interrelated arenas: godly character, cultural intelligence, and organizational competence.
  • The Beauty of Partnership is the training component for the Mission ONE Ambassador Program, by which an individual or church may serve as an advocate for a Mission ONE partner ministry in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
  • Mission ONE offers one-day training events to introduce the basics of healthy cross-cultural partnerships. The core material is from The Beauty of Partnership and teaches the “Three Cs:” Character, Culture, Competence—or godly character, cultural intelligence, and organizational competence.

3) Other services and resources

  • Bob Schindler and Werner Mischke are both available for speaking at mission conferences.
  • The Operation WorldView DVD Series introduces world missions to small groups. It is turn-key DVD series that has been used by some 800 churches in North America and around the world to help lay persons get involved in global Christian missions—and discover their destiny in God’s story.
  • Bob Schindler and Werner Mischke lead international vision trips to Africa, Asia, and the Middle East to engage with Mission ONE-supported indigenous ministries and their key leaders.
